I am a Vice Chair and a member of both the Resources and the STEM sub-committees. I have been living in Bolnore for over 17 years and my daughter attended Bolnore Village Primary School for all her primary school education. Outside of the school, I am a company director for my own business in the recruitment industry.

I have been a governor for 3 years now and really enjoy it. I am a member of the Resources Committee and I am the school’s Health & Safety and Sports governor.
It’s a fantastic position to be in and you genuinely feel you contribute to the general running of the school. I have two daughters at the school so am very passionate about making the school the best it can be. The school has an amazing staffing and management team and I’m really proud to be part of it.

I’ve lived in Haywards Heath since 2002 and been a co-opted Governor since 2013. We have 2 children at Bolnore. I’m currently Chair of the Curriculum committee. I’ve had a number of roles at the Insolvency Service, an agency of the Department for Business, dealing with a range of personal and company insolvencies. I presently manage a team of company investigators who investigate director misconduct and corporate criminal offences, with a view to disqualifying unfit directors and making criminal referrals where appropriate. I hope that my skills and experience are useful to the school and in a small way are helping it achieve its strategic objectives. I’ve seen the positive impact the school has had on its pupils and feel privileged to be part of a school community that has a caring and nurturing environment where standards are high and children thrive.

Vicki Munday
Vicki Munday
My name is Vicki Munday and I am the staff governor for Bolnore. I have been at the school since 2016, relocating from Manchester to take the position. Teaching has always been my passion and what my 3 year old little self aspired to be. I have been teaching for ten years now and I have loved every single moments. From Rainbow Days to action packed residential, there is never a dull moment.
I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to join the Governing Body in 2017 and am loving the experience. It is great to be able to share my knowledge of the school with my fellow governors, but also to learn more about how a school is run and developed.
When I am not in the classroom, I am busy being 'mum' to my little boy, Logan, and relaxing with my two cats, Tinks and Bubbles. -

I was delighted to be appointed a parent governor in February 2019. I am a mum of three, and my eldest son is in year 3 at Bolnore. Ever since he started at the school I have relished being involved, from helping in class with my then youngest in tow, to being a part of the PTA. When the opportunity arose to become a governor I saw this as another opportunity to try and do my bit for a school I love and very much believe in.
My whole working life has revolved around working with Children. It started at 16 when I ran Children's holiday and weekend clubs at a number of leisure centres in Surrey. I'm very fortunate to have been able to achieve both my childhood dreams. The first of which was to work for Children's BBC where I spent 12 very happy and fulfilling years as a director and producer for both CBBC and CBeebies. I made a wide range of factual, educational and entertainment programmes which were always developed in close collaboration with schools and families so I have spent many a fun packed day in schools around the UK. I gave up the first dream job for the second which was becoming a mother. It's an absolute privilege to be a parent and I'm very fortunate to be able spend so much time seeing them grow up. I currently work as a property manager which I can flexibility work around my kids.
I want all children to achieve their dreams and I feel school plays a major part in shaping a child's future. There is a Bolnore saying that we want all our children to 'skip to school'. My son comes out of school every day full of joy and I believe if our children are happy at school then they have the right environment to learn and achieve their goals. During my time as a parent governor I have witnessed why Bolnore is such a special school. Everyone in the school works tirelessly for the well-being of the children. I feel my skills and experiences complement an already fantastic and dedicated team of governors. I hope all parents and children feel they can approach me with anything they would like to discuss about the school.

Originally from Mauritius, I left my home country to study in France and obtained a Masters in Business and International Marketing. I went on to work for 8 years for a Global Leader in office interiors, first in London and then in New York. From heading the Marketing and Customer Services team to being part of a Global Marketing team focusing on applied market research, I have acquired skills such as strategic thinking and planning, marketing and communication, facilitation, budgeting and also a strong ability to work with different personalities and cultures.
However, I always had a passion for photography and a few years ago I took a leap of faith and launched my own photography business, specialising in children and family portraiture. I absolutely love working with children and families and capturing moments for them to cherish for a lifetime.
Ever since my son joined the school in 2017, I’ve been extremely impressed by the enthusiasm and professionalism of the teaching and non-teaching staff as well as the quality of the curriculum. So when the opportunity presented itself for me to play a part in the team of Governors, I was very keen on getting involved and I was appointed as Parent Associate Governor in March 2019. I am now part of the Wellbeing and Inclusion team and also the Governor lead for Special Educational Needs, which are the fields that I am the most passionate about. -

I have been a Governor since 2012 and both my daughters have been through Bolnore Village Primary School. I am a co-chair of Governors at the moment and a co-opted Governor. I serve on the curriculum committee and am a past chair of that. It has been an honour to be a Governor of BVPS, to work alongside the talented staff and watch the school grow from small beginnings and nurture the children of Bolnore. I work for an audiobook production company in London (I can be spotted around the village riding an orange bicycle to the station!) and I also enjoy running and singing in the Brighton Festival Chorus.

My name is Emma Callcott and I am the Partnership Governor and chair of the resource committee at Bolnore Village Primary School.
I am qualified AAT accountant with 13 years’ experience working in accounting, Payroll and HR and also started a career working as a School Bursar in an East Sussex Primary school in early 2020.
I absolutely love being a Governor and getting to see everything Bolnore has to offer. It truly is a wonderful school for pupils and their families.
At home, I am a Mummy to two young boys and I love baking cakes (very handy for PTA events!)

I have been a governor since 2019, representing the local authority and serving on the curriculum committee. I have lived in Bolnore since 2013, have three children aged 16, 13 and 11, and am much involved in village life as the minister of Grace Church. I enjoy pretty much anything that is outdoors.
