Sports
At Bolnore Village Primary School we pride ourselves on the amount of different sporting experiences and opportunities our children take part in.
We attend lots of festivals and inter school competitions run by Mid Sussex Active, which give our children opportunities to not only learn new skills but a chance to play competitive sport against other schools in the locality. Some of these competitions are: Football Tournaments, Tag Rugby, Cross Country, Sportshall Athletics, Boccia, New Age Kurling, Boys and Girls Get Active, Cricket (Indoor and Outdoor) and Tennis.
Last year we were awarded Silver the KS1 Quality Start award. This award recognises and rewards schools for their commitment to PE, School Sport and Healthy and Active Lifestyles. Part of achieving this award is a commitment to giving the children an opportunity to lead activities in their school too.
For the past two years, we have been awarded Platinum in the Games mark award for KS2.The School Games Mark is a government led awards scheme launched in 2012 to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community. Participating in this process allows schools to evaluate their PE provision and assists them in developing an action plan for future progress.
