Support for Parents
Support for Families at Home
At our school, we understand that children achieve their best when families feel supported and confident. To help ensure this, we work closely with the Early Help Team within Children’s Services, allowing us to offer timely advice, guidance, and access to wider support services when needed.
We are pleased to have Kate Bignell as our Designated School’s Family Support Worker. Kate works alongside our school to provide early help, signposting, and practical support for families who may benefit from additional guidance at home.
Within school, Sharon Coats, SENCo Assistant, is the main point of contact for family support. Sharon works in partnership with Kate to make sure parents can easily access the help they need.
Consultations and Support
We are able to offer confidential consultations in school with both Kate and Sharon. These meetings can provide:
- Signposting to local and national support services
- Advice on where to access specialist help from outside agencies
- Support in making a referral to the Integrated Front Door, should families wish to request more structured support at home for any aspect of family life
